Why is sessional private GP work beneficial?

One of the drivers for patients seeking a private GP is continuity of care where they can see the same GP across appointments.

Having a regular session in a private GP practice enables you to establish a practice with patients returning to see you when you are working.

Sessional private GP work also gives you flexibility within your schedule to work for multiple organisations, whether another private practice or within the NHS.

It is important to note that if you are also practising as an NHS GP, you will need to ensure you have the correct indemnity cover and aren’t advertising your private services to your NHS patients.
